Culture & Environment
Majority of us hear the facts related to water problems or disasters around the World, but we either choose to forget or believe that someone else is there already taking care of the problems. The fact is that we all need to be responsible for our daily living conditions, and everybody needs and can make a difference in order to resolve all issues. Rich economies take it for granted that the taps in their homes, businesses, schools etc. can be turned on for habitual activities such as drinking, washing and cooking, without seeing the water crisis affecting our living conditions.
Our aim is to not to tell someone what to do, but to show the real problems that every one of us is faced with.
Individuals would need to see the facts and decide themselves if they should or should not contribute to make
one small difference.
Governments and Non Government Organisations can decide to what level of support they can provide.
If each one of us makes one small change towards the problems then the overall impact will have a far greater positive effect on saving billions of people and of course our planet.
Music transcends cultural language barriers and is an effective tool to communicate important issues to people at all levels. Using artists as role models and spokespeople will undoubtedly influence millions of people, businesses, decisionmakers and politicians worldwide.
Therefore Focus Media will create Water for Life concerts around the world with international and local recognised artists in order to bring a clear message of problems we are all faced with, which is affecting us all.
The aim is to request worldwide help and action immediately. The "Water For Life" concerts began in 2009 and will continue through until 2015. The concerts are produced, with a very clear message to raise awareness of water and environmental related problems affecting everyone. All concerts around the world will take place at either UNESCO World Heritage Sites or important historical landmarks with a very strong cultural presence.
